The ice on the lake is still pretty tight yet with lots of healthy ice left. This is looking south over Whitefish Narrows from Long Bay. Because of the water currents, this channel very seldom freezes over.

These are some of the Indian rock paintings that our out on the lake. This specific one is on Hula-girl island in Whitefish Bay about 2 miles south of Sioux Point. Each painting, paints a story and is symbol to events that occured in the past.

A little bumpy!

This winter has been a chilly one for us with fair amount of snow and lots of wind. This photo was taken just to the North of Whitefish Narrows in Long Bay. I found shortly after that this area was actually one of the smoother areas compared to Yellowgirl Bay and west of there out to Chishlom and Bath Island.

A gorgeous February day where the temp was in the single digits, but no wind and not a cloud in the sky. A great day to be out enjoying the great outdoors!

Thanks! Conditions are great for snowmobiling. The slush has frozen, and the snow now has quite a crust on top, so can really scoot out there. Fishing was on the slow side, but it has been quite good throughout most of January.
